About us
We study the evolution of protein folds and functions and apply this knowledge to protein design. Evolutionary mechanisms as observed in Nature can teach us about concepts to use in design, while design provides a way to test evolutionary hypotheses. In our studies we combine theoretical and experimental approaches. Click here to find out more about our research.
About PRe-ART
ATLIGATOR was established within the PRe-ART and PRe-ART-2T projects:
Predictive Reagent Antibody Replacement Technology (PRe-ART) will create a foundational new
technology platform to replace conventional reagent antibody technology.
In a multidisciplinary
approach combining basic science, protein engineering and computational prediction, PRe-ART will
generate non-antibody components which can be combined in an entirely modular fashion to create
molecules that bind any peptide of choice. Such a biotechnological revolution is timely because
of current failings in the reagent antibody market. Click
